![]() This way you could choose to go faster and finish early if you want a rest (or just go at that pace and have no rest), but either way all your being judged on is if you can survive the next round. So taking their same format of 1150meters each round. I'd prefer to take that same format and just keep reducing the time window until failure. So even if you make it through all the rounds, you could still get a lower score than someone else who smoked it at the beginning and then rested for a min or two before the next round. Seems cool, but the thing I dont like about it is you are still racing as it states the person who finishes all rounds in the shortest amount of time is the winner. ![]() ![]() Im sure there is a better way to do it than I just listed, but just an idea. rounds 3+ just drops 10 seconds every time.In my opinion it should just come down to your pace (literally the name of the test), and you keep rowing until you are no longer able to keep pace. I searched around for "rower pacer test", but only found this crappy verison, where they just measure strokes: (Metcalf%2C%202012). You basically run back and forth and have to keep pace with the beeps until you can no longer and have to drop out.įor example - round 1 you are running at about 5 mph for 7 rounds, then round 2 is slightly faster, and so on until you drpo out. If anyone's unfamiliar with the pacer test in gym class:
